Description
Bushman family breaking open fruit outside their hut in a village near Tsumkwe, Kalahari Desert, Namibia. The Bushmen are indigenous people of southern Africa that span areas of South Africa, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Mozambique, Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia, and Angola. Bushmen were traditionally hunter-gatherers but began to switch to farming in the 1950s. Genetic evidence suggests they are one of the oldest, if not the oldest, peoples in the world, from which all humans can ultimately trace their genetic heritage.
